Is NLS food changing?

Today I went to my lfs, and I was looking at the NLS foods. They didn't have the betta formula, but they did have other formulas that were also 1mm pellets. The weird thing is, though, that the 1mm pellets there looked almost twice the size of my betta pellets at home, and their label also says 1mm! What's up with that? Is NLS changing or something?

NLS's other foods are good too.

Their pellets might vary in size, but the formula in the fish food is the same.
  • NLS food products are relatively uniform in size so it makes it really easy to keep track of how much your fish eats. No need to mention their ingredients, they're really good.
  • Tetra pellets are acceptable in size variation, but they use really a lot of filler ingredients like corn/rice.
  • Wardleys is the worst when it comes to portion size & ingredients. Their pellets can be the size of a poppy seed to the size of a betta's eye. Tiny to gigantic.
I wouldn't worry about it because you were not looking at Betta specific food.

Yeah I was actually at petco yesterday and was looking at the NLS foods. For some reason the 1mm betta pellets are way smaller than the other 1mm pellets. Go figure...

Perhaps they were mislabeled .5mm pellets? NLS carries .5mm pellets as well, I switched to them because they're easier to digest, especially for my smaller fish.

No they weren't. They had the .5mm pellets too and they were smaller than the betta pellets.
