Shy Betta

I just finished cycling my 20 gallon long and I stocked it with 6 rasboras and 6 albino cories. Yesterday I added my male betta Comet and he seems to not like the other fish. The fish are super rowdy and they spend most of their time in the front of the cage. Comet spends most of his time hiding in the plants in the back and he only comes to the front when I visit him. He also goes back into hiding very quickly when he sees that I don't have food.

Sometimes one of the cories swims right at him and he gets scared and goes to hide in a plant. He used to be super friendly but now he just wants to sit in the back where there aren't many fish. Is he just adjusting to the new tank and fish and he will warm up soon or is he going to stay super shy?

I think its probably just stress or he's sick. He seems ok. Has there been any water temperature changes?

How is the filter flow? Is it baffled? Is it possible he could be bothered by it at all? How is your tank planted/decorated?
