All I have to say is Petco had an amazing Elephant Ear and if I'd had more money I would have bought it. $20 isn't bad for how beautiful it was. I'm also happy to see Petco taking a bit better care of their fish. Really upset that we were a day or two late on the Walmart betta.
The water is still heating up in my 20gal. Got the heater in there and a space heater just outside it. Was able to pick up one silk plant and some pellets. Borrowed one piece of decor from my goldfish tank to help with cycling a bit. As soon as that tank gets it's proper filter (it has two 20gal filters on it right now >.<) I'll baffle one and put it in with the betta.
So this tank is lacking to say the least. But I hope it's better than his little cup.
Darn camera makes it look so dark. The window is sealed up for the winter with no chill air coming through and that A/C won't be used anymore. I am planning on moving him someplace else but for now this will be okay. I have an awesome space heater. But that's all there is at the moment. Didn't fill it up all the way but put more in than I would have if this guy didn't look so healthy.
Hubby picked him out. Looks pretty healthy, very active. Going to take my sweet time in acclimating.
I'm very, very sad I couldn't save a needy betta but on the other hand I did give one betta a good home so hopefully he can live his little fishy life for those lost fishies.
