My poor betta :( help

His color is normal but around his head area and gills has turned to like a silver color and he looks like he has gotten bigger in that area. Not too sure what is wrong. Please help :(

He is also breathing really heavily. And swims side ways. I am uploading a picture to help

The picture is kind of bad, but you can see that his face is discolored, his body is normal color except for his face which is grey/white and it looks bigger than the rest of his body...

What brand & type food are you feeding?

• The coloring on the face is normal, but the swimming sideways is not.

Can't tell much else from the photo. Those tank hood lights for those small tanks aren't bright enough to take good photos.

Don't feed your betta for at LEAST 2 days & see if his swimming improves.

I feed him nutrafin max flakes. I havent fed him today. He kind of just floats around the top. He wasnt always white headed

You should feed him frozen brine shrimp. I used to feed mine hikari bio-gold pellets but i noticed mine never pooped. But after feeding him the shrimp a couple days he poops 1 time every 2 days. still trying to get him to 1x a day. He LOVES the brine shrimp.

My betta has white patches along his body. Some experts on here said it was body rot. I've been treating him in a hospital tank for about 2 weeks now and they havent changed much. But he hasnt gotten worse either. Its a long road to recovery. Check out my post for pictures to see if its similar. its called "cloudy white patches, puffy eyes". Its got a lot of info in it.

You should try to get a better picture so we can see more detail. Shine a lamp on him to take it.

Also what are your water parameters?

Thanks. I will try to get a better one. It's just weird because its just his head and it looks puffy or bloated. I can never really tell when or if he poops. Ugh this sucks

I have never tested the water
