Bubble forming near filter?

Yeah so can my water conditioner make large bubbles form? Like there always are bubbles in my tank now, like foams!

Is the tank cycled? I had a problem with bubbles collecting into a foam much like that while I was fishless cycling my new tank with ammonia. In my case, the bubbles came up from a sponge filter, and just stayed there on top of the water and clung to each other. It just ceased to be a problem one day. Everything's fine now, tank's cycled, fish is happy and healthy. I never heard of anyone else having the problem, but assumed it had something to do with the cycle or ammonia.

The only time I've had that happening was when my tank was still cycling and it was along with high ammonia, and also once when the cycle broke down for some reason.

Basically there's higher surface tension and the bubbles can't pop.

I suggest checking water parameters (ammonia, nitrite and nitrates)

Oh I know a betta wouldn't want to make a bubble nest there. I was just stating that it looked like one.
