Question How to Tell if a Decoration is safe?

I saw a really beautiful decoration for my tank at the petstore, but I'm not sure if it would be safe for a Betta. It felt a little rough when I was holding it, but I don't know if that was just me being worried about it or not.

I really liked it, but how can I tell for certain if it would be dangerous?

Take a pair of pantyhose, or similar material, and rub it all over the decoration. If it snags, it's too rough for your Betta.
