i haven't been on a forum in forever HERE GOES NOTHING
Hi. I'm Nezzie (or Nez, or Gany, or Median, take your pick) and I'm German-British, though currently living in the United States. I'm at the end of my first year of culinary school, with a major in Baking & Pastry. I am very fond of cooking, Transformers (which will be relevant in a mo), and of course fish.
Right now I have a single halfmoon double-tail betta (Tailgate) and a black mystery snail (Cyclonus). The last time I owned a betta I was about nine years old, and kept him in a little plastic bowl with no filter or heater or anything.
I've learned quite a bit about bettas since then, and 'Gate enjoys a 10gal tank with the works. He's a very friendly betta; he'll wait for me to come home from work and blow bubbles at me, then use Cyc as a makeshift bed. He's also extremely fond of my new marimo.
In mid-December I plan on getting about six neon tetras to liven up the tank a bit, and I'm hoping he'll take the new lot well.
sorry for the poor picture quality, both my phone and ipod are extremely crappy. the last photo is from a week after i bought him; his fins have grown considerably since then.
