Question Is this betta-worthy?

Hi guys, I was wondering is this tank is Betta-worthy? I had it left over from my old Betta Fred (when I was a kid) I think that it's a 1/2 gallon. I was only thinking of it as a temporary habitat, as I plan to get another Betta soon and I have no more tanks. here's a pic:

I'm sorry the photo is pink! my camera is a wacky old thing, but you kind of get the gist.

thank you for your opinions, ~Saphira

Yep, it's a half gallon. That's not suitable to keep a betta in unless you're using it to float in a larger heated tank and doing daily water changes.

IMHO, wait until you can afford to buy him a proper home.. don't buy another betta knowing you can't afford to take care of it yet.

Hey there,

This tank would be okay as a temporary tank but not as a permanent home for your betta. It will need cleaning regularly though to keep him healthy. Also not sure where you are but you would have to make sure he doesn't get cold depending on the weather where you are.

You can also use rubbermaid containers in lieu of tanks for a short time if you need to cycle on or wait a week or two before purchasing one. I use rubbermaid for my hospital tanks, and they've always worked really well.

You can usually get a 10 gallon glass rectangle tank at walmart for about 12$ though, they carry them all the time.

Hope that helps!
