How do you dose prime?

I just got back from petco and I bought a bottle of prime because I heard it was the best. I almost didn't because it was also significantly more expensive than anything else but only the best for my new little boy. The problem is I don't know how to dose it and it is making me regret my decision. I did the math and it should be about 1ml per gallon. I get that. I just don't get how I'm supposed to measure out 1 ml.

So how do you guys do it?

I think it's actually more like .1mL per gallon - very potent stuff and that makes the bottle last a very long time.

I dose with a TB syringe (no needle) that I got from work. It's measured in tenths of a mL, so it makes dosing super easy. I think you can get droppers or syringes for medicating babies that would work for this purpose at pharmacies.

Personally, I just pour a little bit into the cap dependent on the size of the tank I'm dosing & I don't worry about overdosing because it won't hurt anything. I get as close as I can, for my 46g its a capful, for the 10g tanks its about 1/2 the cap, for the 5.5g its around a 1/4 of the cap, for a 1g I go to maybe the 1st thread of the cap. If I remember the instructions say each cap thread is 1 ml. I don't worry about being precise & so far I've had not adverse effects in my tanks.

thanks guys. I meant .1 ml but forgot the period. I'm going add it now so I can get my new baby out of his cup and into his temporary home.

I use 2 drops per gallon of water, but if you're dosing the entire tank to detoxify the ammonia/nitrites/nitrates it says you can use up to 5 times that amount. I bought some pipettes recently, like 20 for $4, to use for dosing my Prime and feeding my baby betta.

1mL = 20 drops (although I've seen somewhere it used to be equal to 25 drops)
