Hey! New here

Hi I'm new to betta keeping (although I have read a lot online and I've been doing very well these past 6 months.) My little love is Cadence, a beautiful red veiltail rescued from a high school prom. I keep him in a 1 gal filtered tank with a silk plant and plenty of water changes. It's awesome to meet you all!

He does quite well in his tank.(and I know just how he likes to have his plant) We have become quite the pair.

What a beautiful red! I really like reds, but when I go to the LPS none call out to me...but he is a beauty!

Why thank you! I tend to go for darker colors but he was a rescue and he has really grown on me :)

It's nice to meet you all! Bettasareawesome, at the prom there were bettas on tables outside, which was cruel because it was freezing! It's funny because my friend named the fish on our table Cadence, made him her prom date, claimed him afterwards, and then gave him to me for my birthday before I went off to college. The fish were all given away afterwards and it breaks my heart to report that Cadence is the only survivor. Honestly I can't believe that they just thought of the fish as decorations rather than living things.
