Oh.. That's a lot nearer to the body than I realized.. I would skip at an go right for the antibiotics. Kanaplex, maracyn plus or Furan 2

Thanks callistra, I will order something online asap, as I haven't seen any of these in my area. Is Kanaplex the best of the 3?

It's my favorite but Maracyn Plus is really good I just think it's harsher. You might try using yellowpages.com to look for pet stores and aquarium stores. See if anything is in your area. Kanaplex can be hard to find but the rest generally not.

BTW if you click the link in my sig you will see a good example of a tail biter. My little Dreamsicle took a few good chunks out of his tail before I got him home. You can see it's large u shaped chunks that are very clean.
