Bleeding Sore-Help!

Hey guys!

I need some help with my Betta, Azazel. He has had this gash/sore on his face for the past week or 2. I have been treating him with E.M. Erythromycin, but it seems to have no affect. It randomly appeared one day on him and has been open ever since. His face is slightly swollen where the wound is. In the picture above, it's currently bleeding after I changed out his water. I REALLY want him to get better and have no idea what to do now, since it seems that medicine does not want to work (I also used Marcyn) I know for sure he didn't rip open his face himself, since all the decor in his tank is smooth with no sharp edges.

If it is not infected, I would stop using medication. Just keep his water very clean. Does he have anything sharp or dangerous in his tank?

He doesn't which I find so weird :O

You say you change 25% then 100%.. I'm confused.

He should have been getting two water changes a week - one 50% and one 100%. 100% needs a thorough rinsing of gravel and all dechor.

Check your untreated tap water for ammonia using a drops kit. Report back on actual level.

Really clean water is crucial at this point. I'd do 50% water change every day and 100% water change every 4th day at this point. Look for Seachem Kanaplex. If he didn't cut himself you have a really bad water quality issue.
