Buying a marimo moss ball?

I was thinking about buying a marimo moss ball for my 2.5 gallon. But before I get one or two, I was wondering if they would be a good fit for the tank.

I have a fluorescent bulb (825 lumens) and it's usually on about 8-10 hours everyday. The tank also has a male veiltail and the water temperature is generally between 78 and 80 degrees.

I haven't seen any at the pet shops near me... So I was thinking about ordering online.

Hmm, well she seems to have a 100% positive reputation with about 800 reviews. Do you know how most sellers ship their moss balls?

Ebay has larger sellers with a larger customer base. I got 5 nano balls for like 5$ free shipping.
But moss balls require such little care - I think everyone should have some! lol

Oh, I didn't look at her reviews. I've also never used that site so I didn't know.

But yeah eBay and aquabid will probably have much better prices, but it's really up to you where you buy from

They are easy to care for and a great addition to any tank! Just roll it around every few days to keep it from getting a brown spot on the bottom. Also take it out and squeeze it to get the dirty water out of it (like you would a sponge ) 2-4 times a month. Eventually, it can pop out little baby marimo balls!

Also, with the addition of the Marimo Ball (and proper pwc of corse) you might be able to handle 3 Ghost or Cherry Shrimp! They are adorable and LOVE Marimo Balls! Just make sure they have a hiding space or little man might think they are a snack

And don't be discouraged if it splits. My last remaining nano (gave the rest away as gifts) is splitting. I'm sad but without the natural swirly current which is what makes marimo moss balls into the shape they are it is not surprising a lot of balls split. For months I kept my big moss ball laid out tied to driftwood like a rug. Now I have it balled up again lol
