The EE would show up right away..

Don't be surprised if "he" turns into a "she".. the dorsal and ventrals point to female.

sooo...i woke up this morning to feed Copernicus and found what might be the starting of a bubble nest!! if it is, I'm so excited and happy, because we've only had him for a week! here's a picture, it's so cute! oh and there's Copernicus saying, "Feed me! I'm starving!"

Hmm. Does look like a "she" to me, but if it is young then i guess it is hard to tell. Females do make bubble nest sometimes. Well you probably know the gender in about a month or so. I had a baby once, it said it was a female, then grown to be a male. I gave him away but it was pretty cool.

he's only about an inch/inch and a half, and in the time we have had him, his dorsal fin has grown twice the size it was, which is why I'm like 89% sure he is male. either way, it doesn't matter! I was just so excited to see this!
