Hai Feng Aqua Magic Miniature Fish food is a step up from what your feeding, My cousins feed this they live in Australia, this is where they order it Fish Food / Betta Fish Food (Siamese Fighting fish) - The Aquarium Shop Australia

NutraMax is another good one

FYI: I fed Fred my red VT twice a day with 1 1/2 pellet of Omega One each time. He has been very regular.

Whereas, when I first got him, I fed him with Hikari (one pellet twice a day).It has more filler versus real "meat" and he was constipated and was slightly tilted in his balance when swimming and resting.

By filler they are usually talking about wheat products. I am unaware of the availability of pet shops and what brands they carry in Australia, but if you can get on the internet, I would recommend looking for whole fish or fish meal as the first few ingredients. Always look for a high protein content as well.

Keep in touch. We will do our best to help you out.

The first 2 ingredients are quite high-protein and quality.
Compare that food brand to New Life Spectrum and Attison's Betta Pro. It seems okay I guess. Search for the foods I recommended... If the pellets are like 1mm I suggest 2-4 pellets 2 times per day. And if it's bigger than 1mm, 2 pellets 2 times per day is good. Fasting is also a good idea. Variety is key in any diet, remember to give your bettas frozen/live/FD foods for treats so it could also get different types of nutrients.
