Help My Cory!

My albino cory has SBD (atleast I think)
I caught him stuck to the filter intake earlier, normally he's a strong swimmer.
He's floating at the surface, but is still able to swim down when he tries. Seems like he's having a hard time getting air from the surface, and he's upside down a lot.

How can I treat him? I know cories dont do well with salt, so what else are my options?

I have him in a .75 QT right now.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with SBD, but I have heard many a time that feeding the fish peas (I think cooked without the shell) can help with that. Good luck, and I hope someone more experienced comes along and corrects me if needed lol.

I've housed up to 15 cories before & unless your injured cory has some sort of stomach parasite, it shouldn't get stuck to your filter intake. I house all my cories with a Bio-Wheel Emperor 400 filter that's designed for 80G tank.

I find a lot of schooling fish HARD to medicate & treat for injuries because they FREAK out & get all depressed when they're separated from their friends.

What size tank & filter were you using?

I had him in a 26 gallon tank with an aquaclear 50, but it was turned down to the lowest possible setting because this is also my sorority tank.

He passed away within an hour of me putting him into QT, now I'm really worried its contagious.
I just finished treating for Columnaris the week before Christmas and havent had anymore deaths since then.
I just ordered a bunch of breeder quality boys and girls and I'm terrified I might accidentally contaminate them if this is contagious.

At the lowest setting the AC50 (200GPH) it should be relatively low suction.

I have the AC30 (150GPH) on my 5 gallon fry/juvie tank and none of the little ones have gotten slurped up by the filter yet.

• How long (lengthwise) was the cory cat that passed?

He was probably about 1.5"
I have 2 albino and 3 peppered left

I should add that I've had them all since October, and haven't added anything new to the tank since the end of november
