Actually the 2.5 will work nicely as it is small enough. A picture will definitely help :) do you PRE-dissolve the salt?

Yes, I pre-dissolve the salt. I do everything the way you're supposed to, and I'm in school right now so there isn't a way for me to get a picture up yet, and I really just want to know why he isn't eating?

No, the only food I've given him are either pellets, freeze-dried, or frozen. I could try live, though

Have you tried soaking the pellets in garlic juice? If he refuses that, then try live. Otherwise it may just be the battle of the wits.... Or until he feels better.
