Water change

Hey I just wanted to make sure my routine for water changes in my baby beta setups is sufficient.
I used to do 80-90% water changes every other day. I changed recently to doing 100% water changes every 2-3 days. Is my current method sufficient or is the other method better?

I have two baby tank set ups with ONE baby PER setup.
They are both double tails.
One set up is a 3 gallon kritter keeper, heated, unfiltered
The other set up is a 2.5 gallon kritter keeper heated, unfiltered.

are you putting the water at the same temp. in. i think the eighty water percent is better because the betta could go in shock from the change in the difference of the water quality.

I float them for anywhere from 1-2 hours after any water change I do, does that help?
