Can anyone tell me what plant this is? Was susppose to be an aponogeton

I was told this was an aponogeton, but it looks nothing like one after it sprouted. Any clue what it is?

It suppose to look like the last picture. =/ It also sprouted this odd claw looking thing that went above my waterline. Lol my girls swarms when i come close cause they think there is food.


Also, because i really love aponogeton, i went out and brought a plant. It looks just like the last photo and it was beautiful. but by the time i got home, all the leaves melted =< i guess too much water movement when i was getting home. All i have is the bulb left. Think it will regrow?

there are many types of apongeton, yours looks like a narrow leaf hybrid.
