As far as Marimo balls go, when can you add them to a tank? I think theyre awesome and would like to get one too. I am currently cycling a new 10 gallon tank, and wasn't sure if I should wait for the cycle to end. I don't mean to hijack this thread with a question, but I feel like when to add plants advice would be useful for Eveh as well.

Any plant can be added first thing (as long as you're not using straight amonia!) as they suck up amonia and amonium. In fact, if you add enough plants, you tank will be "cycled" from day one! If you just add low tec beginner plants, all you will need for them is proper light (change out bulbs) and an ocasional dose of ferts (once a week for easy care ones) as the other nutriants will eventually be depleted if you don't. On top of all that, you can get away with under filering your tank with these guys to the point of only needing a filter for water movements! Definatly something to look into IMO
