is it ok to change both filter cartridges?

or can you only change one at a time so that you don't kill the BB? i've only changed one so far and the other one doesn't have much flow coming out of it so i'm wondering if i can change that one too.

would i be able to put the new cartridge with the old one in a bucket with tank water and let it sit a couple hours then put the new one in or wouldn't that help at all?

What filter do you have? You only want to change one medium at a time.
