That is really horrible. Why do air conditioners or furnaces always give you the most trouble on weekends? Hopefully your furnace guy gets to you first thing in the morning.

my poor boyfriend is running himself ragged,trying to keep everyone warm.still no hot water.i usually do water changes today. gonna have to heat the water up on the stove.hope my pipes don't burst. still trying to thaw them out. we haven't slept yet,so we are just wiped out. this is such a p.i.t.a. hoping for good news tomorrow. can't afford a new furnace, but what can i do? may have to sell my car to finance it.i don't really drive it anyway, and i do work for a cab company so i'll be ok there. just super tired and depressed that all this is happening at once. tough year, and it's only the 13th. fish are doing good at least.they seem uneffected by the whole ordeal. thanks for all the support guys, it really helps to unload this.

Well I'm glad the fish are all okay.
I'm so sorry all of this is happening to you! It definitely is a PITA. Atleast the r rest of your year has no where to go other than up after this.
Hopefully you don't have to replace the whole furnace. We had to do that here a couple years ago and it was absolutely horrible. We lived in front of the fire place for a week straight because no family lived near by and we couldnt afford a hotel, had to borrow money from my ex's grandmother to get a new one and I'm still indebted to her.

they are here to install my new furnace. $2200. better go buy some ramen.

Dang, that sucks! Atleast you are able to get it done so soon and can keep yourself warm. Ramen isn't so bad.

$2200 OUCH! I hate when people tell me to look on the bright side, but look on the bright side... at least you will have a brand new furnace and shouldn't have to worry about this happening again for a long, long time.

Hope you are thawing out and cranking the heat up!

good to have a furnace under warranty. now i'm just waiting for my fridge to die. it started making whining sounds a few weeks back. the nice technician serviced my ac for free while he was here. so hopefully i won't have a problem with the ac this summer.things are nice and toasty again. my water is back on now. thank god. i haven't taken a shower in 3 days. and i hate going 1 day without one. can finally do my dishes and clean my fish tanks. feel somewhat normal for now. maybe now i can get some rest.
