Hey, guys :)

My husband and I are gonna be making the 4 hour trip to That Fish Place up in PA in a few weeks. He has been real supportive of my hobby, and I thought of treating him to dinner or something fun while we were up there. We obviously don't know the area, so -

Does anyone have any suggestions on places to eat, fun stores to visit, etc? I want to make our 8 hour round trip adventure a little exciting for him, too :)

Hi Rinali sorry no help with the area but we used to make it a trip up about 2 hrs from here. Sounds like a great idea to treat him to dinner! Ed efg321

Try Shady Maple smorgasbord. It's a massive buffet owned by Amish people. I think all the meat and vegetables come from Amish farms. The buffet is like 300 ft. long!!! My wife has family from there. We go each year to a reunion the to Shady Maple afterwards. There's also a huge gift shop in the basement with lots of Amish crafts. They have a website just google shady maple.

Shady Maple = FANTASTIC.

My husband and I are from Catawissa, PA and I used to live in Elkton, MD for about 14 years before that, so I was never far from Lancaster. It's so beautiful there! Shady Maple is definitely a good place to eat though! ;)
