I was going to wait to post his pics for Jan 16
I impulse bought Bowser on Jan 16, 2012 at PetSmart. I was in with my sister and we were both getting a betta, I had just returned the ghost shrimp which all died in my tank (and subsequently the osmosis shock which killed Laki). There was a fiesty apricot dalamatian but as much as I love them he was a crowntail with sharp fins. I like some CT's but his tail was too crowntail-y for me. Then after some choosing, I had Bowser and another lined up.
I picked Bows because I had the name picked out before I went. I knew whatever fish I was getting would be named Bowser (to go with Lakitu who I still had and thought would pull through). So he seemed the right color. And I liked his tail! I did now even know what a combtail was but I liked the shape.
After a year he is still my baby. I don't know, maybe because he was so alive and spunky while my Lakitu died but I did not grow as attached to B as I did to Laki. For his gotcha day I plan to give him bloodworms and maybe if I get to a pet store and find him something I will get him a plant or dec or soemthing. Maybe I'll get some form of live food if I can find it. Regardless, here's before and after Bowser!
