Thumbs down sluggish betta?

Hey guys one of my bettas is sluggish but I cant seem to find anything wrong. Tank is at 79 constant, water is fine, fins and scales are fine and, hes eating. Do you guys know what it could be? Tank is divided with another betta on the other side and he is very active. What could be making him sluggish? He swims around sometimes but rests on a leaf usually. Could he just be lazy?

Could be depressed - what do you have in your tank?

I have plants and a cave to hide in. He sees the betta on the other side a lot. Could that make him depressed?

That can make him very stressed and eventually could get ill from it. Some bettas adjust better than others. It's best to use a divider that is opaque (aside from the holes of course). If you put lots of plants up against the dividers and block their view that can help too.

More info would make sure we're not missing anything: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=49233

Yeah, he could be stressed from seeing the other betta.

Do as Callistra recommends, change the divider to a non-see through one, or put lots of things up towards it. You could also double the divider.
