I agree Matt...and I always try describing them as bi and tricolors....but be careful: some people refuse to admit it...I actually got "yelled" at and spoken to like I am an idiot from a couple members when I told someone else on their thread that they did not have an MG rescued from a petstore but a very pretty bicolor. I still have not regained my respect for the 2nd member who stood up for the first when I told the OP that the 1st member was mistaken in calling that fish an MG!
Sorry, been a couple of months but I refuse to get yelled at for being right! I had even apologized because I had used a Thai name for black red bicolor and called other fish a devil...and they could not even see they were doing even worse in calling the other fish and MG...because (and I quote) "MG is an abbreviation on a color term that everyone knows and therefore it is ok to use. But we should not be making up new names all the time because it "creates confusion!"...
Apparently, I am still EXTREMELY upset about the incident and maybe could use an apology...I mean, I am assuming that neither of these 2 members (from 2 different countries) are any relation to the original people involved in the MG libel case and subsequent trademarking of said name!
It should be noted that this thread and anyone involved with this thread is NOT part of the incident I was just speaking of! And, yes, I remember their names!
Sorry, Alex...kinda touchy! The girls are still doing great :)
