Glory II

He was purchased from Petsmart on 31-Dec-12 as a replacement for our previous betta Glory. He was labeled as a Twin Tail Halfmoon and my daughter fell in love with him as did I.

I have not been able to identify his color and was thinking either cellophane or albino. Because when the light gets behind him you can see right through him and all of his insides.




It now seems that he is getting black scales mixed in with his 'clear' color

He is a marble type and will continue to change color for a time. So~ a cellophane double-tail for sure....not sure if halfmoon or vt o.O But I'm still new at identification.

Very pretty fish, I'm sorry for the loss of the first.

Thanks for the kind words. The cup from petsmart said halfmoon, but as anyone can tell not all cups are labeled correctly. I am anxious to see how he turns out as well

Right now he is being treated for fin rot. My tap is high in Ammonia and NitRATES and I had a few small spikes in between my 4 day WC's. So I am going with a fishless tank cycle in a new 4g tank and having him stay quiet in a 1g hospital tank.
