Powdered Fish?

I woke up this morning (an hour ago) and turned on the aquarium light like I normally do but something unusual happened... the betta didnt awaken...just stood there sleep. He fianlly awoken and noticed his mouth was snow white, as if he had been eating a powdered donut. His color is pale also and hes been a bit lethargic. I Believe its mouth rot. what do you think and what should I do? thank you[/u]

also, yesterday I believe he killed a guppy in the tank (guppy was dead at the bottom of the tank half eaten with G shrimps on the body) when I relaized the fallen guppy I noticed a discoloration on the bettas mouth but I just assumed it was guppy flesh.

maybe if you post under freshwater emergencies and diseases and answer the thread that says...please read before posting more people could offer you help?
