How does the petco policy work?

When you have a dead fish and you literally only bought it 6 days ago.

It's usually on the bag but you bring your receipt in with the dead fish body (sometimes they want a water sample also).

I bought a goldfish there a couple months ago to cycle a tank and they told me to bring a water sample and if possible, the fish.

For bettas they have a stricter policy, my store requires you to bring your dead fish and a water sample (different bags to not affect the water) and a receipt within 7 days. Other fish you get 14 days.

Aw poor guy.. :(

I think Petsmart has a more lenient policy with its 15 day guarantee or something like that. They don't ask for a water sample because it's part of their no questions asked policy or something like that. At least I think its petsmart.... o-o

For petco I think its 14 days....

If you have a reciept it has the info on the back; you just have to find the part referring to live fish.
