So, last week I had to face the fact that I was probably going to have to give up fish keeping for four years or so whilst I was at uni, but now I've realized... I'm not going to!

I was originally going to be moving to the city and flatting cheap and wouldn't be able to afford looking after all of my tanks. But mum has offered to let me live with her for a bit cheaper so I can afford it, as she knows how therapupetic fish-keeping is for me..

Anyways, I have a 20g that I'm thinking I may divide into three or four gaps, and I have a big spare sponge filter already that I can use as the filter, and I'll just go get a heater for it. :)

I'm going to set up my tank within the next few weeks and have it all good and ready for some new fish..

Maybe I might try and do a NPT divided tank, as I was thinking of making one anyway! It would work out cheaper for me, too.

So yeah. That's my plans for anyone who really cares. Madmonahan

ALSO! I went to one of our pet stores and saw the most GORGEOUS BOCT baby. He was so cute. I wish I could have gotten him, but I didn't have $75 to pay for him. Sigh.

I'm going to be very picky with the ones I choose for my next NPT!

Oh wow, yay!! I'm happy you will be able to keep up with fish keeping! Will you have the time to keep the tank clean? if you get it going, then, pictures pictures pictures!

Well, the thing is, It'll be a NPT tank so I generally won't have to! :o Awesome!

Good luck with your bettas. Sounds like a good plan. You remind me when i left for college, had to give away my 8" inch oscar that i raised since he was a baby.

I find it interesting when people say they are worried about having to stop fish keeping while they are at college because I started with fish my freshmen year. I wasn't very good at it...but I found ways to have 2-3 bettas at a time. XD

Yeah, though I'm not sure where you are living is all.
Things here in New Zealand are way more expensive then lets say... America lol.

True. I went to school in Connecticute (about 2 hours away from my childhood home) so I didn't have to worry about insane prices. But I didn't have the 5 gallon set up back then that I have now in my apartment. It was really bare bones set ups when I first started. XD
