they are more like gouges that go into his skin, his scales are missing, not like the ich cysts.

Poor little guy. :( Sounds like what you've already done for him is great though, and I'm sure he appreciates it after being in that icky little cup for God knows how long.

Petsmart has some meds that I saw that are for specific things, like ich and finrot. I forget the names, but I remember seeing them. Might be worth checking out that aisle and seeing what you can find, if you can.

Oh gosh yes, hes now in a heated planted tank he seems to be so much happier, he likes to hang out by the heater and he "plays" in the current from the filter, he will swim up to the top, then stop and let the current push him down, he will do it again, and again- its very funny.

He definitely sounds happier. :) He must feel like he's in heaven.

That;s great you gave him a second chance like that! Most don't get that. Everytime I walk into Walmart I go over to the fish section and see suffering bettas, I just wanna buy em all! It's terrible how they treat them.

I'm glad you saved him and that he is doing better. I always feel so sorry for the little guys stuck in those dirty cups. I don't have any answers for your questions, but I did want to say that I LOVE the name you gave him. :)

Wow!
I'm really happy that you rescued him
Is your heater adjustable?
If it is, then you might want to raise the temperature slowly to 77-80 degrees (fahrenheit)
