I am not storing my hay outside bc I need to stick my hands in it and spiders would go in there and make babies. And earwigs. We live in a basement apartment o-o
I do keep it in a tote box so I fill her hay rack outside in the porch and carry it back in (but the hay tote is NOT kept in the porch for the same reasons). I take that extra step.

My cat could have ended up dead, his owner abandoned him when he went to jail. Oliver was outside in November (a cold month here) with no food and only a wet sheet for a bed. My mom took him inside for me and then I picked him up. He was just grossly infected with worms.

as a guy, i think rats are gross, lol, mice too. But hamsters and guinea pigs are ok. Birds are way better though, they are much prettier in my opinion, haha. Fishes are pretty too, they are exciting and relaxing to watch. :) Cats are way smarter than dogs, but you can't walk a cat and play frisbee with it, haha. Meh, but i think i'm allergic to both X_x

I like rats, if I didn't have ferrets I would consider owning one or two. My husband likes our ferrets but he could care less about my tanks. He thinks I spend too much money on them or something... >_>. One day when our ferret population is lower (we have 14) I want to get a cat and he wants some kind of lizard that I'm sure I'll be the primary caregiver of.
