They only had fish food and the prego sauce jars the fish are currently living in. I'm having to buy all the other stuff (and new food while I'm at it, the food I have sucks)

Oh my God! Those poor babies. And the jars were most likely washed with soap before they were added to boot.

I sware by Omega One Betta Buffet Pellets and New Life Spectum is also very popular among all of us. Those are 2 to keep in mind while shopping.

Is there a nice big glass bowl in your kitchen that mom wouldn't mind letting you use? Or a big pickle jar? You can clean it up with vinager water and rinse well for one of them to hang out in. You can use a plasic container or bucket temporarily as long as it has never been touched by soap, food, or anything that could hurt them fish if it leached out.

Update:
I got a 1/2 gallon dual tank with a separator for them, so they each get a 1/4 gallon twice the size of the prego jar xDD and they have pretty glass pebbles at the bottom! They seem to really like their new tank. Also my baby cousin (who is five) and lives with me has yielded his betta for me to take care of, Yoshi (the betta) has his own 1/2 gallon tank, the lucky fish xD.

I'll post pictures when I get home from work this evening! Also if I have time I'll go pick up some new food for the three of them.

Yay for frequent water changes haha
