Cool A bigger, better tank for little Mojo!

Ok, so a while ago I posted about getting Mojo a 10 gallon. Well today we went to Petco to get the tank and we get there and my mom kept insisting that "a little betta does NOT need that huge tank for himself". *sigh* . So I ended up with a 5.5 gallon which is still a lot bigger than his current one and gives him plenty of room to swim. Also have a hiding place that I had bought for my last goldfish but never ever used it because he died before I had a chance to put it in so now little Mojo has plenty of room to swim and hide!

A 5 gallon is perfect for bettas. I have a hex 5 and IMO is the best thing to have. I also have a 10 but it is split so each betta has 5.

I have a betta in a 10... My hubby was mad at the whole "1 fish for 1 tank" thing so I got a handfull of pygmy corydoras for him and a snail..

Hmm.. maybe I should get more corys.. always a good idea :)

Could always get a small pleco for the alge too. Rubber lips and clowns stay small.

Nah. I didn't get them for algae. Just to eat up extra food and they are hardier than ghost shrimp. The bio load is perfect. My point is you can always find something to add in a tank. This tank has no algae anyway. Just food

I love my 5.5...I've put the most work into it (though that will soon change) but also have two tens. One ten is divided, one isn't, though the other ten is about to get some tank mates to amuse my tail biter. Cobra Endlers, cute little things. Just need to be QT'd.

For me, tank mates on a "how would it help the betta" basis. Course my 29 will eventually be a sorority...just starting the cycle today.
