wow...if you can breed him to a full masked royal female, and get the color from head to tail, you might have a show-stopping solid color DT!

Thank you so much for the nice comments! He looks even better when he is flaring.

Here are some lousy photos of his DT uncle that placed second in the solid DT class at IBC convention 2012. He is also one of my homegrown bettas.

i love seeing the form and color progression going on here....that guy is beautiful, but the new guy you posted is clearly a big step up. can't wait to see where this line heads

If all goes as planned, the 1st DT steel blue male might be paired with this nice long bodied steel female. She was also bred by me.

Thanks. It's a bit easier when you have more sisters and cousin females living together in a sorority that look like her. The stripes are breeding stripes. She does not always have them.
