Just went to buy to a plant (pic heavy)

I stopped in Petco to buy new plant, and of course looked around. I saw this sad little guy that has been there for 2 months. I know that because a friend was looking for a yellow betta 2 months ago, and bought one just before I saw this guy. Every time I've been in he's been there looking a little worse, so I gave in and bought him today. He looks pretty rough, if he makes it, I'll get him a nice planted set up. Right now he's in a 2 gallon Kritter Keeper that's about 1/2 full.

The last pic is the worst he's looked today, mostly he looks like the 3rd pic. Please excuse the bad pics they were done with my phone.

That's awful they never changed his water bad petco bad! Adding little water to a cup isnt that hard Or costly! I'm glad you saved him from that. He looks so ruff too. Hope he still has a appetite.

I had to leave for about 4 hours when I came back he was looking a little more perky so I offered him a couple of pellets, he ate them right up!

Keep your fingers crossed that he keeps improving.

My fish betta was in similar condition from a petco, except they had treated him so badly he had just about no tail. D: Some large chain stores are just terrible about these fish. He looks so pretty! Seen plently of bright orange bettas in stores, but never a yellow one. He's a lucky find, and I'm sure he'll pull through. :)

Today I went to petco and they had pretty much all the same bettas from 2 weeks ago. Most of them had mold/fungus growing in their cups. :/ anyway he's really pretty! Hope does okay!

Glad he is eating shouldn't be to many days till his colors start to really pick up.
