5 Gallon Tank Smackdown!

I am considering upgrading to a 5 gallon tank. Currently the contenders are:

Hawkeye Semi-Hex 5 Gallon:

MarineLand Hex 5 Gallon:
http://www.amazon.com/Marineland-Ecl...ium+marineland

MarineLand Eclipse 5 Gallon Corner:
http://www.amazon.com/Marineland-Ecl...allon+aquarium

Aqueon 5 Gallon Mini-Bow:
http://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-17774-D...allon+mini-bow

I know these are all popular tanks. Which do you like best and why?

I like the mini-bow personally, it has plenty of horizontal swimming space!

I'd dump both of the Eclipse tanks off the list, because I can't stand their filters. They are also the tallest of the choices, and offer less horizontal space as a result.

if you are doing a planted tank, i think the hawkeye would be better. it has pretty good reviews.it says it has a full florescent hood.

I'd personally recommend this one: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...uctId=11459461
It's 5.5 gallons :p

The filter is very quite and does a good job also. Also easy to baffle with the water bottle technique.

I'd go with the Aqueon mini bow. They are really nice, good filter. The only thing id change on it is lighting and get CFL's for it

I use the Marineland hex 5 and love it. The filter is low flow and does not need baffling, the bio wheel holds BB when a new filter is installed, the single intake tube takes up almost no room inside the tank.

I would have to vote for the Aqueon 5 Gallon Mini-Bow. I have two already and do not have any complaints =)
