It is taking up room, but not really providing hiding places. If you decide to go with live plants, you can keep it in there until they grow big enough, then take it out.
So I have a question about my filter. Should I keep the water level high so that there is an even current across the top or should I keep the water level a bit lower so the water kind of drops in the water at only one spot not across the whole top. The flow from out of the filter is very small and I'm actuky surprised by it. So I think the second I idea is better.
So she made her first bubble nest! She looks alot skinnier and she lays on the top of the plant and sleeps. I am going to start feeding her twice a day and I am going to get a leaf hammock and some lily pad bulbs. I never checked the plant to see if it was rough or not so im hoping that it is soft and wont scrap her or tear her fins. Here are some pictures of the bubble nest and her.
