Nothing seems to be working!

The current from my filter is too strong and I have tried like 4 different soda bottles to make a baffle and its not rocket science! But I still feel like the current is too strong. Now just coming out of the sides of the soda baffle. I have also tried a sponge where the water comes out of the filter. That worked ok... Not great. I am getting so frustrated! I have had my betta for about 3 weeks, and he has been active since day one... But lately he is starting to rest at the bottom more. He just looks tired. Please help!

What kind of filter do you have?

What is the temp of your water? Sometimes that is a factor to them becoming inactive. You may want to consider a true sponge filter if the HOB is just too much.

Also, what size tank do you have and are there other fish in the tank? If the betta is alone.. then you don't even need a filter :)

I have a 10 gallon tank with an aqueon power filter. I have 4 tetras with my betta and the temp never goes below 75

Get a separate 3-5G for your betta? No filter needed, just water changes.
