My new tank and new companion(:

The other day I bought my Ozwald, an Elephant Ear Betta, a 10 gallon tank.
Of course he has an adequate heater and everything, too.
I'm on wait for a filter and new decor (I'm torn between doing fake plants or live plants).

Also, when I purchased the new tank I also bought myself a new companion. My newest addition is an African Dwarf Frog named Gizmo. :)

Now I'll quit boring you and show you pictures!
Note: I don't have any close ups of Ozwald , however I have some in an album if you're actually curious about him. x]

The 10 gallon isnt a bright enough light for live plants though, if its the tank i think it is..

And Ozwald's tank is on the floor due to me re-decorating my room. I'm in the process of getting a new TV stand, dresser, etc. It'll be off soon, hopefully! x]

As for the lights, you can buy your own--so I'll just have to be sure it's bright enough.

I like both tanks a lot. You should definitely get live plants. I finally decided to get live plants last month after years of fake decorations for my other fish tanks and I don't think I will ever go back to the fake stuff. Even if you don't have much light, there are virtually indestructible low maintence plants out there. Especially with that colour gravel... It'll look amazing.

Some easy plants to grow are java moss, java fern, anubias, wisteria, water sprite, anacharis, dwarf sagittaria, and vallisneria. They are usually the ones that are the easiest to find in pet stores too. There are so many more though.
