bubbles on the surface of the water?

I have only had my betta fish for a few days and ive noticed there is a large area of tiny bubbles on the surface of the water... does this mean anything?

if the bubbles are smallish (but not to small) and are very close together it could mean that your betta has been blowing a bubble nest which is used when males and females mate. ( the male deposits the eggs into the bubble nest). Have you seen you betta blowing bubbles? any chance of a picture

No worries, it is a bubblenest...it means she feels safe and happy...and that she is ready to mate. It is a good thing.

sure its a she building bubbles

sure its a she and not a he?
Dose your fish have long or short fins? If long, not she, but actually he ;D

My male beta blue Bandit has made two now...1 before we left on our trip, before I changed the water...the second I found when I got back, as he re-built it :D

here's a pic of his first one, after I moved the tank to change to water (2.5 gal tank)
