So things have been quite.. hectic, I guess with my boys.
While home during spring break (New years day), Squirt developed dropsy and I put him down.
A few weeks later,, Starburst had become so weak and unable to swim that he passed as well.
A very short time after, Squirt, Pudge, and Bubs became sick with a comination of velvet and what appeared to be a fungus of sorts. Pudge was separated after the velvet cleared up and was treated with maracyn for his tail. Unfortunately, the fungus turned out to be a form of acute columnaris hat is thought to have developed from the campus water (my friend lost 2 fish and a snail at the same time) and Jingles passed. A day later, Bubs did as well.
Leaving me with one betta and two oco cats. Pudge has been with me for a total of a little over 6 months. And all I know is that right before I left this weekend, he wasn't looking too well with raised scales on his head and clamped up. fingers crossed he's okay when I'm back.
Now, I'm not here to rant about this, but to post pics of my new boys :)
((I will not be posting tank dimensions only because I'm slightly annoyed with people berating me about what I put my fish in. I can assure you that aftr keeping bettas for a bit over a year and investing over $300 in them, they are in safe and large tanks.))
This is Cupid, my King Veiltail who might possibly be a butterfly or a crown/veil tail mutt. I gt him on Valentine's Day
And this is Jack Frost, my newest guy :) He is a white crowntail whom I belive is also a marble :D
If the black is any indication, I have a feeling he's going to be all black, or at least partially black :3
and on a slightly unrelated note, I also got a new parakeet since one of the two we have passed away unexpectadley, and here she is :3
So yea. I should have more pics when I return tomorrow and put Jack in his tank :D
