Vacuum Sanitation Question

I have an Aqueon Siphon Vacuum Aquarium Gravel Cleaner (<--Verbatim) and after using it, I typically rinse in cool water and hang it up to dry. I then rinse it again before using it to siphon out water.

Question: Do I need to sanitize this thing, or is rising it enough?

I would think that rinsing is fine, since you typically don't want to get chemicals mixed into your water. However, you should rinse with hot water.
