I am planning on breeding a line of DTVT for eventual show. I am looking for some feedback on what people think. I know that VT isn't always appreciated, but I believe that this can be a beautiful line when done right. Here's the male I'm looking to use. I know his dorsal is long, but his anal is long enough for VT standards (according to bettas4all), and his HM can easily be bred with a VT female. I'm looking to sharpen the anal a bit more as well, seeing as it has a flat bottom. Both anal and dorsal lay back nicely when swimming, though! Another large plus is that his ventrals meet the bettas4all standards for VT as well. I think he'd be a good male to start with. Not perfect, but good. What do you guys think?
I'm sure I could even experiment with BF patterning later down the line, since he already seems to have a touch of it in his genes now.
