I'm just wondering, how would I go about getting a half sun through breeding... Would I breed a halfmoon with a crowntail? I'm still a little confused about the genetics.

you breed HMxCT, get messy-finned fish, find the one with the best spread and most even rays, then cross out to a purebred CT. you keep perfecting your line after that, it usually take 3-5 generations to get a suntail JUST right.

Wow, super helpful. I got my betta about 3 months ago. She is super beautiful!! I didn't know what kind she was, cuz I don't really trust the Petsmart labelling... Lol ol.

Now my question is... What is the difference between a Crown Tail and a Crown Tail Plakat???
