Please help (ich)

Hello everyone my betta has been battling with Ich for 5 days now, I have been treating with rid-ich plus and it's working good. However the he has been loosing color and being less active he has like 1 maybe 2 spots today if that. I wanted to know if this is common for a betta to loose color when battling ich because it's stressing me out and idk if it's the medicine or if it's the ich. Should I continue treatment? Is it normal for ich to take this long? any other suggestions? Thanks so much guys.

I've never used meds to treat Ich, I turned the heat up to 86F & added some Aq salt & did frequent 100% water changes as she was in a 2.5g tank, leaving the temp up for at least a week after the last spot. Within 3 days the Ich was almost completely gone & my female was zooming around the tank & eating. I would think yours doesn't feel well therefore loss of color, like people some fish are more sensitive than others to meds. How much longer are you supposed to use the rid Ich?

Three more days after i see the last spot. I just checked on him and i see no more spots just the loss of color and his mouth moving more that usual. so three more days

whats the active ingredient on the med you are using? I brought home a ich carrying betta about a month ago, and it infected my whole sorority, i treated them with API Super Ick Cure for 2 and a half weeks (one extra week for safety since ich can incubate in the gravel for a while) It had no ill effect on my bettas, only it dyed my moss blue =/
