so, its good. to be here. first time owner here. I have 5 ghost shrimp, 5 rred cherry shrimp, two african dwarf frogs and one sweet crowntail named Arturo Alffa.
like I said, I have never owned a betta before, and so I didn't really know anything about the fish. he was super active and blowing bubble nests the first couple days. then I put him in with my frogs and shrimp and he kind of slowed down. that's when I found this place. my betta has fin rot and I learned that here! I"ve got him in a QT tank with aquarium salt right now and he is growing back parts of his tail that I didn't know he had!
apparently when I bought my guy he was already sick. I've been treating him for 3 days now and he is full of energy! he will even jump for his food again. but enough about my fish.
I'm a 26 year old artist from louisville ky. when I say artist I mean I work in a resturaunt. I have spent some time at sea and I will try my hardest not to use any foul language. I have a very serious interest in growing a natural planted tank and I'm glad to be a part of a community of people who's fish couldn't live together.
edit: I will be doing a water change in my tank later today, I'll post some pics of my setup when I get home from work tonight.
