I wish I could figure out what my fish were doing.

I thought they were spawning yesterday because the male and female were up in their film canister with a bubblenest going.

I turn their film canister around today and look in with the torch and they are both in there under the nest, but there are three eggs that I can see.

They have to be the two worst breeders I have ever owned. I don't even know what it is they are actually doing in there. Guarding the nest, spawning, eating eggs, reading a good book haha.

I think it's actually the girl that is the keen one. The male is an utter wuss. Never flares, always skulking about and apart from looking beautiful really doesn't do much of anything. I was surprised he even knew how to build a bubblenest haha

LOL

My DT is turning out to be a real dud. He builds bubble nests when I have him in his temp bowl, but when he's in the spawning tank he just hides.....Hopefully my new macho of a betta can strut his stuff. What do you think of this combo? Seems sort of weird, but oddly enough, it crossed my mind. I'm just brain storming. I had everything set up until the whole gender benders mishap happened. So now I'm back to the drawing boards.
