Seems sort of weird, but oddly enough, it crossed my mind. I'm just brain storming. I had everything set up until the whole gender benders mishap happened. So now I'm back to the drawing boards.
Not sure if it's the picture, but your female looks to have a lot of excessive branching in her caudal. Then again I am not expert on that kind of stuff. She is very pretty though.

Uhmm...well...her pattern is sort of like river branching if that makes any sense. It looks like water color on a coffee filter. Would this pic help? Also, I just noticed the finger flare. Faaaaail. LOL

Though you might be right. I sure hope not. D:

Why don't you message someone like Myates, Indjo or even BasementBettas (not sure how often she is on) and get their honest opinion on her. There are other breeders on this site equally knowledgeable but they are the only ones that spring to mind right now.

Only thing I worry about is if she is a RT or carries RT and you have a large number of fry that are born deformed or need to be culled. RT can easily wreck your hard work in one generation.

OK, I am clueless about breeding..So, what does branching mean and why is it a bad thing?
