It seems like so many bettas die young due to mismanagement, either by their owners or by the seller. Not a knock at anyone who has a bought a betta not knowing what roper care consisted of, since stores should be educating owners.
A lot of threads here with bettas dying at a year, a year and a half.
Are they just overbred? Does anyone have a betta that makes it a long time? Relative to life span, of course.
Let's hear it people! Who has a lovely "old betta" story they can share?
